The eight-hour work day was cancelled

The decree of 1917 normalising the eight-hour work day has been cancelled in Russia.

Starting from February 1, 2020 more than 3,7 legal acts of the soviet era have been removed. The legal acts concern economy, education, medicine and farming.

The decree was cancelled in order to help the development of small business in the country.

The normalised work week can not exceed the amount of 40 hours. Now, since the decree is cancelled, the new work week can be 4 days long but with 10 working hours a day.
