"Scenes from a Mariage" - Gorky Theatre's new premier

Scenes of a married life can be closely examined. The Gorky Theatre reshaped the auditorium for its new play so that the audience could get a closer look at love, infidelity, and problems that arose in a single family.

"Scenes from a Mariage" was the title of a famous film in the early ‘70s, created by theatre and film classic Ingmar Bergman.

A fifty-year-old story looks incredibly modern, with stylish sets and lighting by Moscow artist Sergei Skornetsky. Even the costumes resonate with today's fashion, repeating the silhouettes of the 1970s.

Is it possible to return to each other across burned bridges? The answers are in the Gorky Theater's most unusual premiere, Scenes from a Mariage, December 17, 18 and 19.
