2017 is declared as the year of ecology is called to draw attention to the unique natural territories of Russia, which are so rich in the Primorye. To save Primorye from irreplaceable environmental damage is not only a national, but also is international task.

The plan of the main measures of the Year of Ecology in Primorsky Region 2017:

• Ecological clean-up days for sanitary cleaning and landscaping of the territory
• Programs of additional professional education in waste management
• Development and implementation of system for collecting mercury-containing waste, used small-current sources for the population
• Certification of sewage sludge
• Remediation of illegal dumps
• Transition to a new system of organization by the subjects of the Russian Federation of activities for the management of solid municipal waste
• Organization of separate collection of municipal solid waste in the Primorye
• Organization of the construction monitoring
• Organize selective collection of paper in state and municipal institutions
• Implementation of an investment project to create a pilot industrial waste treatment park in the Nadezhdinskiy municipal district
• Conducting scientific and practical seminars on issues of production and consumption waste
• Construction and repair of treatment facilities in municipal areas of Primorsky Region
