250 million rubles are allocated from region’s budget for the development of the mining industrial branch

50 millions are allocated from Primorskii krai’s budget for the resumption of production in Lermontovskii mining plant in Svetlogorie. The plant has stopped its production due to a crisis in 2016. In order to support the economy of Svetlogorie, the regional government decided to intervene in the situation.

Lermontovskii mining plant (LMP) is one of two Russian producers of tungsten concentrate. The plant got 250 million rubles to resume its work. Now LMP plans to produce enough material to start the plant up again.

The crisis happened in October 2016. According to the owner of the plant, they were out of resources. The situation got a lot of attention from the regional government. In January the governor visited Svetlogorie to find out real reasons of the crisis.

Vladimir Miklushevskii, the governor of Primorskii krai, says that it’s highly important for him to save tungsten production in Svetlogorie.

The plant worked out a program for getting a subsidy in 250 ml rubles. The money will go to the resumption. The customers are waiting for that.
